Graph Subset: None

Once a variable is selected from the dropdown menu, the data are filtered to include only records where the selected variable is not missing. In addition, records with missing Age will be excluded from the dataset. The data is grouped by integer Age values. Most studies have follow-up visits with more than a year apart, which makes it rare for a subject to have more than one record grouped into an integer age group. Mean values of selected variables are calculated within each integer age group. For an integer age group with less than 10 records, no data will be displayed.

 

Graph Subset: Diagnosis, Sex, Study, Sex and Diagnosis

When examining subsets defined using Diagnosis, Sex, Study or Sex and Diagnosis, the same derivation process as the 'None' subset is applied. In addition, for each selected approach defining subsets, records with missing subset variables are excluded. For example, for subsets defined using Sex and Diagnosis, records with either Sex or Diagnosis missing are excluded. Mean values of selected variables are calculated within each integer age group for each subset. For an integer age group with less than 10 records, no data will be displayed.

The Table tab displays the graph data in table format. For integer age group with less than 10 records, 'Sample size < 10' will be displayed.
